  • Quick intros: Share a bit about yourselves. Overview of what we’ll chat about today.
2. Getting to Know the Company (10 minutes)
  • Buddy shares a bit about the company's mission and culture through their eyes.
  • Discuss how the team is structured and how the new hire fits in. Use Org Chart link if needed. 
3. Tools and Resources (10 minutes)
  • Buddy provides insights on core tools. How do they utilize each tool on a daily basis? 
  • Discuss where to find important info and documents.
4. Day-to-Day Life (10 minutes)
  • What a typical day looks like for the Buddy.
  • Tips and tricks for getting settled in and hitting the ground running.
5. Culture (10 minutes)
  • Buddy shares some fun facts about the team and company traditions.
  • How we stay connected and have fun, even virtually.
6. Q&A and Casual Chat (15 minutes)
  • New hire can ask any questions they have about the role, team, or company.
  • Open discussion about anything else on their mind.
7. Wrap-Up and Staying Connected (5 minutes)
  • Quick recap of key points.
  • Schedule next check-in meeting for end of week 1. Note: There should be daily contact between buddy and new hire via Slack messages. Your Buddy is your go to teammate!

  • Open floor for the new hire to ask any questions.
  • Discuss any immediate concerns or topics of interest.
7. Wrap-Up and Next Steps (5 minutes)
  • Summary of key points discussed.
  • Outline of immediate next steps and follow-up actions.
  • Schedule the next check-in meeting and your regular 1:1s.
